Sweet As
Nicky Campey had the kids create a model of our part of the revue. The students are right into creating and visual language activities so really enjoyed this activity.
Visiting Author
We got to spend some time with a NZ author and his family. The students asked some interesting questions and listened to him read an excerpt from his book.
Afterwards, we watched some you-tube clips of Tahr hunting in the alps in South Westland which fascinated everyone.

Revue Rehearsal
Here are the Maori tamarisk I ready to go onto the stage. They look different and a bit scary! The pakeha children are a bit scared at first.
Here are some of the pakeha children wearing their fancy outfits. They have learnt a clapping rhyme as part of the act.

Easter Treats
Teresa bought the makings of edible nests to school as a treat before Easter. They are lovely but teeth achingly sweet. Conrad and Onyx got to help her assemble them for us.
Patterned Rabbits
Nicky does lots of fun stuff when she releases me. One activity around Easter was colouring large rabbits with gorgeous patterns. Here are some examples.
