The Seal Colony
There was great excitement when we got to the seals, especially when there were some pups swimming in the pool. As our eyes adjusted we saw more and more pups sunning on the rocks. They are well camouflaged!
Cape Foulwind Walk
The children were very impressed with the amazing views as we got higher up onto the walkway. They did very well walking the distance especially Conrad. Of course the parents did very well too! We were all pleased to stop for refreshment along the way and lunch at the finish!
Putting up Tents
some of the children were very helpful at times putting up the tents. They laid out poles, helped push in tent pegs, and learnt some new skills. Yhanna Chorley was a pro at pitching tents.

NZ Playhouse
This morning we got to see a show instead of having assembly. The children were hooked from the beginning. NZ Playhouse have been performing for schools for a very long time and are very professional.

Hawke Cup Cricket
We have had a lovely time today with Room 11. We had our lunch at Mrs Cummings, cooking our sausages on a primus and had some hot chips.

Welcome to 2016
The first week is over and we are all settling into new routines and getting to know one another. It was a very good week. Everyone has worked hard, despite the heat which has been very trying! We are doing some fitness activities first thing in the morning before it gets too hot. I have added some pictures of the students at the different activities. these will change regularly.
If you have any questions please call in and see me. The door is always open.
Bunnyhops
Suicides
Heel and Toe walk. Good for balance.
We have also been bouncing and catching a tennis ball with one hand and doing step ups outside the classroom.
