It is great to have families join us for the cookout on the beach. Brynleigh was amazed that we could cook sausages and toast marshmallows on a fire. This year we had to get a trailer load of wood from down the beach as there was none where we were setting up the fires.
Sam and Peter (dad) were at camp so Gus (brother) and I (mum) came and joined the fun for the night. I lit a fire, cooked sausages, hash browns and marshmallows (with a sprinkling of sand the wind whipped up lol). Gus enjoyed playing with the big kids on the beach and at the playground AND the big doughnut Mrs Rodger bought us! He really liked the eels and touching their slippery skin. It was a great night full of adventure. Thank you Room 11.
